Thank a Veteran Today!

Today is Veteran's Day, so Grayson and I did a few activities to give him a better understanding of how soldiers and veterans serve our country.  To do that, I completed the activities from this post with Grayson.   We began by reading I Want to Be a Soldier together.  This book is great for teaching little ones about being a soldier.  It has great pictures and simple paragraphs describing each page...perfect for little learners!

After reading, we sorted the different ways soldiers travel.  Grayson did a great job and loved looking at the different pictures.  

Once we were done sorting we each picked a picture and created it using Mega Bloks.  We had a blast playing with our soldiers from this coloring page in their jeep and boat.  

Tomorrow we are going to prepare a box of donations for Operation Gratitude!  It's not too late to grab my American Soldiers Mini-Pack!  Be sure to thank a Veteran for their service to our country today!
