If this is not your first time to read my blog you already know that my little man is a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan. He went to his first game back in 2012, but really got serious this year...check out how much he has grown (and how much better the iPhone camera has gotten!)
It is absolutely adorable how much he loves his Cowboys and even better that it is teaching him his numbers...the teacher in me is jumping for joy!
A while back I created {these} football centers for little man to play. We have been working on number identification, so I printed the football matching game, cut it out and we were ready to go. G had a great time matching and saying his numbers and has finally realized the 9 is not called Romo and 5 is not called Bailey...YAY!
For this particular activity, simply print, cut out the players and footballs, and have your learner match the footballs to their correct player. Easy, peasy! This activity practices visual discrimination, number identification and you can extend to ordering numbers. You can get the matching pieces for numbers 1 through 12 {here}.
